Amber Sanders, Creative Executive Officer & Founder

What happens when a child is raised by a drummer who played with the likes of Three Dog Night and a chef who managed food service for Universal Studios Hollywood? A natural born "social instigator" emerges from their combined talents!

Raised in Orange County, Cal., Amber never knew anything BUT entertainment at its best.  "It's not like my dad was an insurance agent and my mom was a teacher. In fact, I remember falling asleep on the front row of rock concerts and watching the MTV Music Awards with envy because mom was feeding all my favorite rock stars. Not quite a "normal" childhood, but I loved it!"

Even as a newcomer to her small-town Tenn. high school, Amber planned innovative events for her class and was a driving force in bringing back dances to the school at large. She then continued her passion for connecting people and organizing fun at Middle Tennessee State University. There she received her B.S. in Mass Communication with an Emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising with minors in Marketing and Organizational Communication.

Amber spent five years at an upscale, full-service fitness center overseeing internal and external events and promotions before moving into higher education as a development officer. It was in this role as a fundraiser and community relations practitioner that Amber strengthened her network of loyal vendors who to this day help her create memorable experiences, often times on a shoe-string budget.

Today Amber is known for working with record labels, international celebrities (see Planit's client roster), integrated marketing firms and beyond. Yet throughout her career, Amber has planned receptions, parties of all kinds, reunions, weekend social trips, white water rafting trips, weight loss programs, corporate galas, luncheons, meetings, dinners, seminars, conferences, fundraisers, professional development events, volunteer training days, date auctions, cultural social activities, mixers, group outings to sporting events, personalized date packages, spa days, golf tournaments, girls nights in, bachelor/bachelorette parties, weddings and wedding showers, baby showers, and more!

Amber's priority is showing her clients that the success of their event is equally as important to her as it is to them.

"I truly mean it when I say I will obsess over your event. I will work tirelessly until I know you had the experience of your dreams. Event planning is in my blood and connecting people is my calling. I hope you will allow me the honor of designing a special experience for you."

Donna Hollie, Executive Director

Donna Hollie joined the Planit Nashville team in 2008 with over 10 years of experience in event management and a great amount of success in the music industry.

 

Donna is most known for her successful catering and events management company that she started in 2001, Life of the Party. With this company, Donna coordinated the Sony/BMG CMA Awards After party for many years. Her client list includes names like RCA, Universal Music Group, Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, and Sara Evans.

 

Prior to starting her company, Donna served as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of RCA. While there she coordinated and executed various events as well as day-to-day business operations.

 

Donna is a Wilson County native and attended Tennessee Tech University. Her professional affiliations include the Greater Tennessee Hotel & Lodging Association, Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, and the Wilson County Chamber of Commerce.

 

There is no event too large or grandiose, nor too small, for Donna Hollie. With her vendor relationship and extensive contacts, Donna is a top shelf addition to the Planit Nashville team!


Misty Saunders, Floral & Design Manager/Wedding Coordinator

Educated in floral design at Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, Cal., Misty enjoyed florals so much she opened her own floral boutique right out of high school at only eighteen years old. As she continued as a florist, Misty began dabbling in wedding coordination. Now, Misty has designed and constructed complex event décor elements with Planit Nashville featured at events such as a Paramount Picture world movie premier and the largest CMA Awards after party.

Nashville is privileged that Misty moved from California to Tennessee as she is personable, accountable, detailed, organized, and importantly….CREATIVE! Brittney Avey, Public Relations Intern

Brittney is the newest addition to our team. She was born and raised in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida before moving to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. She received her Bachelor’s in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration, and then went on to receive her Master’s in Business Management with a Certificate in Hospitality Management. Realizing her passion for PR, she spent summers interning at the Kelley Uustal law firm, organizing events and creating ads. While in school, she served as a member and Administrative Assistant for Florida Competitive Cheerleading, designing apparel and promotional items for the team. She currently lives in Nashville and is interning for Planit Nashville.
